Temple Corbett

President

Temple is a 5th-year Chemical Engineering student with a minor in Biomedical Electronics & Computing. She enjoys interacting with new students, singing, and baking. She looks forward to bringing more members into the UC NSBE family!

Yaw Arko-Amoateng

Vice President

Yaw Arko-Amoateng is a 4th year Biomedical Engineering student. A fun fact about Yaw is that his first name means born on a Thursday. He looks forward to general body meetings, mentoring, and making great lasting relationships!

Adolphus Addison

Programs & CO-VP

Adolphus Addison is a 3rd year Biomedical Engineer at the University of Cincinnati. He will be pursuing an MBA along with his undergrad degree through UC's ACCEND program.

Baridakara Waate

Communications Chair

Baridakara is a 4th-year Aerospace Engineering student with a focus on quality and exterior systems. She enjoys advocating for her different communities, playing the piano, gaming, and sharing skin care tips.

Deborah Cole-Taylor

Treasurer

Deborah is a 5th year Chemical Engineering student with a minor in Chemistry. She enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, roller skating, and going to the gym. She’s excited to interact with the new NSBE members and create fun memories with the GB this year.

Sam Vessel

Finance Chair

Sam Vessel is a 4th year Chemical Engineering student with a minor in Environmental Engineering. He enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, and watching/playing all sorts of sports. Sam is excited to network and attend the National Convention.

Tieman Kante

Membership Chair

Tieman is a 5th year Electrical Engineering student. He enjoys playing and watching soccer, and working on electronic projects. He is looking forward to his final year in college and to NSBE convention.

Ashlyn Vongsy

Secretary

Ashlyn is a 5th year Chemical Engineering student. She is the secretary for the 2024-2025 school year. She enjoys running and scrapbooking. She is most excited for Nationals in the next year.

John De Souza

Senator

John De Souza is a second-year Electrical Engineering student. This year in NSBE, John will be serving as a Senator. A fun fact about him is that he is a twin! He is looking is forward to attending the Fall Regional Conference this year.

Lebogang Ngirwa

Senator

Lebogang Ngirwa is a second-year student in Biomedical Engineering on the pre-med track with a focus on medical devices. She enjoys writing, volunteering, reading, playing soccer and is looking forward to attending the NSBE conferences.

Ellis Smith

Parliamentarian

Ellis Smith is a third year Mechanical Engineering major with a passion for usability engineering. Ellis enjoys Intermural sports, chess, a good game of spades, and is looking forward to forging strong interpersonal connections through NSBE.

Ahmed Daood

Academic Excellence

Ahmed Daood is a second-year master’s student in Mechanical Engineering at UC. He enjoys swimming and rock climbing and is very excited to plan engineering-focused academic events.

Brooke Hunn

Cultural Awareness

Brooke Hunn is a 4th-year Chemical Engineering student with a minor in Environmental Engineering. She enjoys traveling, making hair care products, and trying new things. She looks forward to meeting on their NSBE members!

Abdourahim Barry

PCI Chair

Abdourahim Barry is a 2nd-year Architectural Engineering student. He enjoys fashion, playing sports, and skiing. He is looking forward to meeting other black engineers at conference and connecting with them.

Evan Boyd

TORCH Chair

Evan Boyd is a 4th-year chemical engineer with a minor in environmental engineering. Evan enjoys working out, hiking, and playing basketball and is looking forward to going to the NSBE national conference this year.

Whitney Gaskins

UC NSBE Advisor

Dr. Whitney Gaskins is the UC NSBE advisor with a Bchelors and PHD in Biomedical Engineering. She revamped the summer bridge program and fosters partnerships with local schools to support student pathways from high school to college.
